Hi, I’m Alix Watters. I'm passionate about helping others achieve their fitness goals. As a personal trainer with over 20 years of experience, I'm dedicated to delivering the highest quality of fitness and nutrition coaching. My focus is on creating customized plans that are tailored to meet the individual needs of my clients. I’ve worked with clients of all ages from teenagers to adults in their 70s. It's never too early or too late to start your fitness adventure! I'm here to help you become the best version of yourself and to support your journey every step of the way. Whether you're looking to lose weight, build muscle, or just learn more about nutrition, I'm here to help you reach your goals.


My Story

I grew up in Montreal, the eldest of 4 children with two of the best parents around. My parents, a doctor and a teacher, instilled in me a strong work ethic and a need to help others. I grew up playing soccer, water polo, rugby and swimming. I joined my first gym when I was a teenager so I could get stronger for rugby and was hooked.

I moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University and play rugby. It was then that I started to work in gyms and the rest they say is history. Since then I have worked as a personal trainer, managed teams of personal trainers and taught a personal training certification course. For fun, I started competing in bodybuilding in my early 30s and have spent the last 10 years competing in the Figure division. I’ve placed in the top 3 at National contests and won two Masters classes at the 2024 NPC North American Championships; winning my IFBB Pro card. 

 

Personal training experience

Specializing in working with busy professionals, athletes, runners, and bodybuilders, I tailor my approach to meet each client's unique needs, enhancing not just their physical health but also their self-esteem and overall quality of life. I'm a proactive problem solver, an attentive listener, and a client-focused trainer who holds my clients accountable while providing unwavering support. My dedication, passion and commitment to training is evident through my long-standing relationships with clients; some have been with me for over 15 years.

Personal training approach

I believe communication and a strong relationship are the foundation of working with clients towards their goals. I develop a partnership with my clients and work collaboratively with them towards their goals. To achieve any goal hard work and consistency are essential. I will provide the plan and accountability to achieve their goals and my clients are responsible for doing the work consistently and communicating.

I strongly believe in continuing education. I am committed to growing as a coach and improving my coaching skills and knowledge base. I have completed two degrees and over 20 personal training and nutrition certifications and continue to learn and grow.
